Emirates’ A380 Superjumbo Is Coming to the Dubai-Delhi Route

Emirates’ Airbus A380 is set to touch down regularly in Delhi starting October 25, when the airline introduces the double-decker aircraft on the Dubai–Delhi route. Delhi joins Mumbai and Bengaluru as the third Indian city to get scheduled A380 service.

The A380 will replace one of Emirates’ daily flights between Dubai and Delhi, bringing its four-class cabin setup, including Premium Economy, to the route. The other three daily flights will keep running on retrofitted four-class Boeing 777 aircraft.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, described the move as a reflection of the airline’s continued commitment to India, alongside a broader push to expand Premium Economy access in the country.

By the end of October, Premium Economy will be available on Emirates flights to six Indian cities: Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Kochi. The airline said nearly half of its scheduled weekly India flights will offer the cabin class by then.

Emirates attributed the expansion to growing passenger demand on routes between India and Dubai, and said more service enhancements are planned as it continues investing in the Indian market.
