Two GTU Results, One Deadline: What Diploma and BCA Students in Gujarat Must Do Next

Two different groups of Gujarat Technological University (GTU) students got their results on the same day this month. On 10 July 2026, GTU declared the DIPL Semester 6 Regular result for final-year Diploma students, alongside the BCA Semester 3 Remedial result for BCA students who had appeared for a backlog examination — both from the university’s May 2026 session.

Both groups check their results the same way: through gturesults.in or gtu.ac.in, using their enrollment number and seat number. The result page displays subject-wise marks, SPI, CGPA and the final pass or fail status for the semester.

GTU has clarified that what’s online now is a provisional result only. The final, official marksheet will follow separately from each student’s own institute, so students are advised to save the current result as a placeholder and flag any discrepancy in personal or academic details to their institute’s examination cell.

For students who want to contest their marks, the clock is already running: recheck and reassessment applications close on 13 July 2026. The process, handled through gturesults.in’s RecheckLogin.aspx page, generally applies only to theory papers and involves a per-subject fee. GTU has been direct about the outcome — recheck marks are final and binding, even if they come back lower than the original result.

Passing at GTU requires a minimum of 35 percent per subject, combining internal and external assessment, with CGPA converted to percentage via (CGPA minus 0.5) multiplied by 10.

Students who end up with an FF or NP grade instead of a pass are advised to track gtu.ac.in for the university’s next remedial examination schedule, since GTU runs exams twice yearly — in December and again in May — across Diploma, BE/B.Tech, BCA, MCA, BBA, MBA, B.Pharm and M.Pharm programmes.
